  • Spring Break – Newport Beach, CA

    Spring break has come and gone! It’s a line in the sand for those of us in Chicago – the worst of winter is behind, but we still come home to chilly weather. Maybe 4 weeks left…maybe 6….but usually no more than 8 weeks left. The weather in Chicago is weird. I’ve been here almost 7 years and I’m still not used to it. Somehow I’m shocked when I keep my heavy coat out until May 15th.     Happy Thursday Moonbeams community! We have just returned from Spring Break in Newport Beach with Grandma & Grandpa and are getting back into the groove and routine of our home life; post to come next week with deets from our trip!     Last week …. oooof. It was one of those weeks where I wish I had those Men In Black memory eraser pens. 2 Saturday nights ago, David and I were watching Tyler and Emily play soccer in their indoor co-ed league. Side note – It is so much fun to watch these games – not only do we get to see the kiddos playing their favorite sport together, but indoor soccer is another level of intensity and strategy that you don’t get with outdoor field soccer. Anyway – as we are watching Tyler crush it and Emily play against boys that are 3x her size, David had a huge sharp pain in his left lower…
