Mama – I see you. ⠀
You are seen. ⠀
⠀
Trying to run around after one or even multiple little people.⠀
Feeding your family multiple meals per day…oh and don’t forget snacks. ⠀
Turning the laundry from the washer to the dryer and then letting it sit there for 3 days. ⠀
Working your 9-5 and just wanting a foot rub at the end of a long day. ⠀
Taking a personal day to watch your sick child. ⠀
Squeezing in even 10 minutes of exercise (sitting in child’s pose totally counts) to keep your heart healthy.⠀
Saving those pennies wherever you can to take your family on vacation. ⠀
Debating whether or not it’s okay to wear your Lululemon leggings for the fourth day in a row.⠀
Coordinating doctor’s appointments, after-school activities, tutor sessions, or therapies until your calendar is maxed out.⠀
Feeling alone in a busy world and wanting connection. ⠀
⠀
But then you stop. Breathe. Reflect….remember….⠀
⠀
Rocking that baby gently to sleep and thanking God that you get to be his/her mom. ⠀
Celebrating your child’s academic success on the report card. ⠀
Standing on the sideline and cheering for your child as he/she runs on the field. ⠀
Listening to the laughter of your children as they brush their teeth before for bed. ⠀
Holding the hand of your significant other and whispering a prayer of appreciation for the messy, busy, sometimes chaotic but oh so joyful life you’ve been given. ⠀
⠀
The days are long but the years are short. You will miss these moments….well most of them…Stop. Breathe. Reflect. Thank.
