Happy Thursday (and June)!
Hard to believe it’s already here. I launched the blog almost 4 months ago and it’s been a complete and lovely whirlwind. This is a general quick update post – continue reading to learn about why the GiGi’s Playhouse 5K is important!
Short on time?

I had a lovely 30th birthday last Friday.
Thank you everyone for the messages, posts, texts, and calls. I felt so special and had a great day with my family. See this Instagram post for what I did to celebrate! And please follow us on Instagram if you don’t already.
This week….
I have been busy wrapping up the last week of fundraising and preparation for the GiGi’s Playhouse Annual 5K Fun Run & Walk, which takes place this Sunday, June 10th in Rosemont, IL (outside of downtown Chicago, by O’Hare International Airport).
Why is this so important?
I’m on the board for GiGi’s Playhouse – Deerfield and have been working with the group since January. Most of you who follow me on social media or via the blog know that I am very involved with GiGi’s Playhouse – but you may not realize that the flagship location is over 45+ minutes driving each way for us. Opening a location in Deerfield will cut that time in half and allow us to support families in our local area! This 5K is our last major fundraising push so we can open the playhouse THIS FALL. Yes – in just a few months!!
Thank you to all of our friends and family who have already donated and/or signed up to run & walk this Sunday!! We cannot wait for this event.
A few final asks….
- If you haven’t already, please consider donating $5 or $10 or $100 to our fundraising page. We are currently a Top 10 team and would love to be Top 5!
- If you want something to do this Sunday morning, please register with our team and come hang out with us!
- If you have already completed one of the requests above, please consider sharing our team page, my guest blog post for GiGi’s, or the general event page on your social media channels.
Please and thank you for your support!
